Flash Physics
by Steve Fenton (sfenton@ucf1vm.cc.ucf.edu)
Q: What's Flash Physics about?
A: Funny you should ask, I was about to tell you. Flash Physics is about seeing in
the dark WITHOUT that troublesome Infrared vision. Who wants to see all that
blue anyway?
Q: How do I use it?
A: Using either the 7 or 9 on the Numeric keypad, select the Fist, either righthand
or lefthand, it makes no difference.
Q: What does it do?
A: When you use the fist it flashes bright light for a long enough period that you
can see those players who love to hide in the dark. I haven't tested it in net
play, but if it works the same as it did in M1, you are the only one who sees
the flash. It doesn't show up on other player's monitors, only yours. Call it the
"Great Equalizer", it humbles the hiders very quickly.
Q: Why are there two Physics Models?
A: For those purists out there who hate using souped-up weapons that most models
have; I have enclosed a copy of the Standard Physics with the only difference being
the FLASH from the fists. The other Physics Model (Hyped) is just what it implies.
All magazine capacities have been taken up a few notches, recoils have all been
taken down a few notches, all ticks have been shortened (faster fire and reload),
pistols have the firing shape of the MA-75 (dual pistols are deadly), both the
MA-75 and pistol have the firing sound of the Alien Weapon (burpgun sound is
great!), shotguns shoot a pattern of regular fusion bolts (great for clearing
hallways when you have two), the shot pattern on the MA-75 has been tightened,
and grenades are only affected singly by gravity. Whew! If that's not enough, then]
you are beyond all help.
The Hyped Physics Model is included with most of the maps I've created, listed below:
Platforms to Heaven
ShootMe Quick
Honeycomb
Wichwadeego
Pfhor the Good Times
Yossarian v1.0 (Physics Model not included)
If you like the Physics Models, hate them, or are just plain indifferent, you can e-mail me at:

The same holds true for the maps. Suggestions are encouraged as long as they are humanly possible.
